Safety and General Information

1) Safety

The children are supervised at all times during lessons and free play, both inside the classroom and during breaks.

Our little pupils are followed by a teacher-child psychologist, who is present at the school on a daily basis.

The school provides insurance coverage for all its pupils in case of an accident at school or on the school bus (with Ethniki Insurance).

The school is regularly disinfected. The toilets are properly cleaned throughout the course of the day and are disinfected every afternoon after the children's departure.

We are mindful that the children wash their hands regularly, specifically after using the toilet, before and after eating, and upon re-entering the classroom after recess.

If a child becomes ill, they are isolated from their classmates until a parent or approved emergency contact can pick them up. In the case of an infectious disease outbreak, all parents are immediately informed.

2) Home-School Relationship

Our school warmly welcomes your family. We believe regular and constructive dialogue founded on trust between the parents and the teacher are essential to your child's well-being and the success of their preschool journey.

We invite all parents to an initial informational meeting at the end of September that aims to address general questions and offer parents the opportunity to meet one another. Individual parent-teacher meetings are scheduled in November and March to discuss progress. In addition to these regular meetings with the teachers, parents are invited to our celebrations and events throughout the school year.

3) Hours and Calendar

The school is open from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, from Monday through Friday.

The school year begins on the first weekday of September and draws to a close on the last day of June.

Our school additionally offers an optional Holiday Camp during the Christmas and Easter holidays and during the month of July.

●   2 weeks at Christmas

●   2 weeks at Easter

●   The months of July and August

●   Greek bank holidays

4) Meals

The mid-morning snack is prepared at school and served at 11:00. It includes fresh bread with cheese, jam or honey, and seasonal fresh fruits.

Lunch is prepared at home, then heated and served at school at 1:30 pm.

5) Additional Offerings

Our kindergarten offers a school bus service for transportation of the children to and from school every day.

The school collaborates with an external provider for the daily delivery of a healthy, balanced lunch (for the children of parents who wish to opt into this service).

During the school holidays (two weeks at Christmas, two weeks at Easter, and the month of July), Au Petit Bonheur offers a Holiday Camp for children aged 2 to 8.
